Came very close to thrifting a Memorex CRT tv with a vcr bundled into it. It powered on, played a tape, we were so excited. Then we ejected the tape and it got munched (and we later saw someone else had done the same and damaged another tape). I'm not handy so didn't want to buy a problem for $35.

I was going to see Autechre live this week but the friend I was going with is sick and it's also at a venue where we had a really hostile crowd experience previously. I don't really relish the idea of being in a lights off space with the kind of belligerence that venue enables. Sold my tickets.
