My dood was extra clingy after I dared leave him to run errands this afternoon. He usually just demands to sit behind me to receive scritches, but he pushed me to the corner of the chair so he could hunker down for some nap snuggles.

I tried needle felting for the first time. Behold: Cakedthulhu, The Great Cheeked One. He somehow looks pretty okay for my neglecting to look up a tutorial on how to do the needle felting. Anyone have tips on how to make claws? His feet went from perfection to chaos when I attempted them.

I played bobbin roulette and won. The stakes were low as I was just making sure my cotton lawn doesn't become cotton thread in the wash, but I'll take any sewing win I get.

I found my first spotted lanternfly nymph of the year in my garden today. The rage with which it was squished would probably be considered disproportionate relative to its size, but was fully warranted.

Looks like my house came with a cistern...always wondered what was underneath the random square of concrete. Hopefully I can utilize it for the garden, I'm just happy to be rid of the grassy patch of weeds between the garden an my house that was horrible to deal with. Time to weed barrier/ gravel.

The combination of shoveling 6 tons of gravel this afternoon and working on a cross-stitch pattern the last couple days has fucked my back in ways I didn't know was possible. I should really make more of an effort to not be in shrimp-mode while crafting.

I channeled my feminine rage into illustrating our worthless senators @fetterman.senate.gov and McCormick as Pittsburgh's (least) favorite invasive species: the spotted lanternfly.
I almost feel bad disparaging those little agriculture-destroying menaces with these feckless bastards.
