A frozen nighttime water drop suspended, waiting for the sun to help its escape to the ground. It was a chilly morning photo walk, but worth it. Had to skip the morning trip for a croissant and espresso. Oh, the sacrifices I make.

Another cold Parisian morning in Parc Monceau.

Snowy Parc Monceau.
It was a crisp morning for a photo walk through the park. Many people were out and about enjoying the snow-covered views. I slept in a bit, but still managed to catch the first direct rays of sunlight reach into the scene.

I’m working on removing the deteriorating rubber grips on the kitchen cabinet handles (since the dishwasher parts did not arrive today). These should have been removed years ago. Unfortunately, some are just sticky messes that will require further work to clean up on another day.

Christmas in a new place.
We managed a home style dinner from (mostly) scratch, and went with a bûche de Nöel and macarons from a spot nearby. Cooking for two in a tiny new kitchen is different that cooking for 17 in our old place. Still, it was a success!

Today’s first project is replacing the clothes dryer handle. The extra broken bits I found in the door housing, and wear around the latch housing tell me this isn’t the first replacement. I hate planned obsolescence…

I picked up a three-pack of socks the other day. Was back at the store this morning and thought I’d pick up another three-pack. It was a good price, and I need socks. I decided to pick up something patterned or colored a little different than usual.
