please don't say they're whining about wheelchairs in fantasy games again? do they not have any new material? shouldn't they be standing around in ill fitting fatigues being twerked on by a frog rather than whining like little babies?

anyway, Games Workshop did missile armed wheelchairs in 84, so 🤷‍♂️

I wrote a piece for @wyrdscience.bsky.social's last issue about some of the ways the Discworld sits a little awkwardly with the lefty politics of a lot of its fans, but this is spot on. If you want a clear, unambiguous political message from the Discworld books it's this:

In Discworld, cities thrive because they welcome dwarfs, trolls, vampires, and humans alike. Ankh-Morpork works because everyone belongs. Funny how fiction can seem more humane than policy sometimes.
