Probably a crank. Probably on a list. Mostly I care about democracy and humanity.
I think we need rotating shifts to straight up follow and harass our politicians. We need to be flyering the hell out of our cities, spreading evidence in public places, asking retail workers to post. We need old school I think bc Old School breaks through media blackouts and bubbles. And it's HARD.

A change is gonna come.

Yeah. I hear you. It's something I do struggle to integrate, personally I'll admit that.

This is going to hit an extremely bad place in this country soon.

It could have been avoided with true Dem leadership a decade ago.

Me too.

Harm mitigation not risk mitigation*
January 26, 2026 at 1:47 AM
I don't want to advocate for these decisions, it does sound shitty, it is shitty, it is bad optics, it is bad PR. But these are the consequences of lack of solidarity and stopping the regime.

This is a country in triage mode. This is risk mitigation. I am so, so sorry.

People I love are already going to die. That's the issue.

My queer friends. My Latina friends. My socialist friends. My black friends. My neurodivergent friends. My normal democratic voter friends who don't listen.

All of us are on the regimes list. We are going to be killed anyway.
January 26, 2026 at 1:45 AM
But what are the consequences of not doing anything at all? If nurses strike generally nationwide we are more likely to win, even if that's a kinda bad strike, than if they sit around hemming and hawing about how best to do it.

Do it, do it smarter after the message is sent. We need visibility.
January 26, 2026 at 1:40 AM
One day, everyone will have always been against this, at what cost? That cost can be greatly diminished by everyone accepting some discomfort in the interest of solidarity and speed.

Maybe a poorly thought 2 day gen nurses strike then a better thought one is what we need. It's smarter.
January 26, 2026 at 1:40 AM
We are going to be killed outright and it will not matter if we do not remove this regime. And I would like for normal people to realize that, so that it's no longer just me and my socialist, neurospicy, queer, latino friends soaking up bullets for everyone else.
January 26, 2026 at 1:40 AM
Technically, the Minnesota General Strike is primarily hurting their own state economy.

But that solidarity says something and communicates something.

There are better ways for nurses to strike.

However, we do not have TIME to implement perfect solutions.
January 26, 2026 at 1:40 AM
There's also a huge strategic benefit to a nationwide nurses strike for even a couple days, even if they voluntarily return very quickly.

WE know the scale bc we're on bluesky. But most don't, and most won't until forced to, and a nurses strike with solidarity in all states would quickly fix that.
January 26, 2026 at 1:31 AM
My grandad would be at risk, too. We would all be at risk.

But we're also all at risk if the regime keeps tightening it's grip and we don't break it and we don't force our representatives to listen.

It's a brutal, ugly fucking catch 22. It's not a good place, but It may be where we're at now.
January 26, 2026 at 1:25 AM
It's tough because I actually do agree with you that there are creative, more effective ways for Nurses to strike that help patients, but break the system like deliberately not charging payments.

But it's so much more difficult to speak on that messaging and get that out broadly.
January 26, 2026 at 1:25 AM
I'm sorry, but you need to stop speaking, and start thinking.

You need to listen to socialists, native ppl, black ppl, and others who have been on the front lines of this soaking up bullets for YOUR freedoms without any of YOUR HELP for Centuries.

We know what's going on, listen to help, please.
January 26, 2026 at 1:20 AM
I honestly believe we're headed for a very large, long, brutal international class war.

But I don't post or talk about my sentiments because I want people generally to listen to me.

(Not dissing you, thinking aloud)
January 26, 2026 at 1:15 AM
People need to get out of their comfort zones and realize that the stakes are HUGE.

Honestly, if we don't stop fascism here and now many, many of us are going to be killed.

If you don't fully support dear leader, don't think that won't include you, too.

It's going to take many, many more strikes.
January 26, 2026 at 1:11 AM
Lol. Lmao.
