It has been confirmed that Alex was a lawful gun owner and did not threaten ICE with a weapon. Early video reports indicate the weapon was taken by ICE and shots were then fired to execute him.

ICE murdered a nurse today
Alex from our time working together, while he was in nursing school. Later, he moved to ICU, working as a nurse to support critically ill Veterans. He had such a great attitude. We’d chat between patients about trying to get in a mountain bike ride together. Will never happen now

It is, in my opinion, not possible to support deportation and the making illegal of people (such as Palestinians, or Hispanics) and simultaneously condemn ICE and be consistent.
