@influxdb.com released today InfluxDB 3 Open Source, with disappointing restrictions. Influxdb Core, the true Open Source edition, will be limited to 72 hours of data. I understand that Open Source must be profitable, but 72 hours is not enough even for hobbyists. We will migrate to something else.

The best part of this improvement is the ability to script out the changes to a T-SQL script then saving and running that (rather than having to remember the exact syntax).

One potential danger is people who don't know what they are doing will be changing options that they don't fully understand.
