A 59-year-old woman was filming police, at a protest in Portland in 2020, when former police sergeant Justin Damerville pepper sprayed her in the face without warning. Last week a federal jury found the police sergeant did not use excessive force.

This is Noor’s son. Their family and Nour’s sister Nasra’s family are both trapped in the increasingly dangerous war zone. Both families are led by single moms who just want to see their kids stay alive and safe.

It takes a great deal of cognitive dissonance for people to support a politician thru a campaign, raising millions of dollars to ensure participation in a corrupted system; when we could raise funds & awareness for struggling communities instead. But if you say that to them they become defensive.
