Yeah it's pretty unabashedly just Diddy Kong Racing but with different drift and boost mechanics 🙂

Feel free to try it out whenever! It's only a few bucks either way lol.

Might be resolved for the real version, but I was unable to input data on page one and go to the next page (it erases everything and goes back). Tried on desktop with Firefox and on mobile, same result. It does go to page two if I don't input anything.

Yeah the UX on those is pretty annoying. Feels like nothing drags where I want it to.

People don't realize enjoyment comes from the feeling of accomplishment you get by working through something. The less involved you are between idea and final product, the less fulfilling it will be.

Yes. I don't know much about optimizing the NavigationAgent3D stuff, what I'm doing currently is pretty much the example code.

I've felt similarly on and off since my mid twenties (I'm early 30s now). What helps me most is being social, in particular run clubs or recurring meetup events. Basically, healthy distractions that bring fulfillment.

Which is what gamedev and drawing is for me too, but those are very solitary.

One thing I realized about gamedev motivation is that for me, it's either out of nostalgia...or out of whatever I'm currently into. I haven't really played that many games recently, but Hades was one of them so I'm leaning into it as an inspiration for my next game.

Here's a t-posing tiger in a go-kart with the gizmos and most of the effects turned on...
