To be fair tho my brother got married in october and we all assumed pro family photos would come of that day but lol nope their photographer was wild and unstructured and took zero posed photos 🫠

We found a super affordable ($100 for 30 minutes and all the digital files including touched up selections with full release etc) photographer when 7 was a BB and we've kept up with her but this year has kicked my ass and we're not getting back up until 2026

This is also our year without a family pic (professionally, at least) or Christmas card. I'm not holding out hope for a sudden burst of invisible labor to get that shit done even for new years, but proud of you if you do!!

Tomorrow is an imaginary time that can never be earmarked for today's projects! Now or never! And never isn't acceptable 😵‍💫

Lol there is no pausing point only absolute completion and we'll settle for nothing less than all the details possible 🫠

I was in awe and also biting my tongue to tell him to hurry up because it was almost bedtime and he had SO MANY needles left to fill in the wreath 🤣

It was a really nice change of pace from his recent nonstop drawing of monsters with tons of teeth and spikes and other elements of evil/danger!!

Come on over to the estate planning and elder law convention, this would definitely get you invited back!

On the other hand, I absolutely recommend A Child's Christmas in Wales, an adaptation of the Dylan Thomas short story. It's older (1987) and very sweet. We watch it every year with my family, 1 of 2 guaranteed movies on Christmas Eve or Day (the other being It's a Wonderful Life)

Lol I believe it. I think it's one of Adam Sandler's hidden gems but it also may not have aged as well as I hoped (haven't seen it in several years but I always cry laughing at least once watching it)

We're not even doing our usual Monday walk to school and will be driving the .7 miles to these dropoff heroes

The shift my son has made in recognizing my big feelings (sometimes before they explode!) and just showering me with hugs and calming words or space to reset has been mind blowing 🥰

My 7 y/o is drawing everything with spikes like this too! But most of the time he says they're teeth. Creepy but maybe with their own teeth falling out they become obsessed 🤔
