Thought a client no-showed so I unfroze from my paralysis leading up to an appointment and got some shit done then realized I just misread the time and she's due in 15 minutes but what a helpful mistake for my brain to unstick itself and do stuff instead of waiting in limbo!!

Our lovely receptionist got everyone this beautiful "touch of spring" for our offices but as soon as it bloomed it became so pungent 2 people already evicted theirs to the conference room and I feel bad adding another to the exiled flowers so instead I'm stuck in my office that reeks of pee & feet 🤢

Drafters of trusts and related documents: do you refer to "my trustee" when the person creating the trust is signing the document? If so, why?? I hate it and can't put my finger on why but it's in all our firm templates and it grinds my gears every fucking time I encounter it 🙃

My dad retired and transferred most of his clients to a local attorney but saved a few handpicked referrals for me, including one who he suggested we chat about before I meet with the client. This is how my notes start from that chat with him, should be a fun new client meeting this morning!

Everyone should pay careful attention to the Maine voter ID ballot measure (Prop 1). It is on track to lose -- thereby proving that the GOP claims that voter ID laws are overwhelmingly popular is a lie. Perhaps now the legacy media will stop repeating that nonsense.

Today we went to a ski swap, church, walk in a bird sanctuary, playground, fiddle concert (big band vibes but strings), with only one stop at home to drop off husband to rest his back while the kids and I did the latter 3 without him. I am finished but still have to power thru dinner and bedtime 🫠
