Honestly we joke about this tutorial, but in testing, it proved surprisingly effective.
This is a pastiche of a meme image "how to draw an owl" that shows the first step being "draw some circles" and a pair of pencil-sketch circles. The second being "draw the rest of the (expletive) owl", and a fully rendered and detailed pencil sketch of an owl. In this comic, the first step is labelled "how to draw a circle" and there is a picture of a circle. The second step is labelled "draw the rest of the owl" and simple cartoon features have been drawn on top of the circle to make a fairly simple cartoon owl. The original circle remains fairly visible and the owl is not realistically proportioned, being as it is, still a circle.

A drawing of Pinky and The Brain from the 90s saturday morning cartoon Pinky and The Brain as Kefka and Gestahl from the 90s super nintendo game Final Fantasy VI. Or perhaps the other way around. I don't know anymore.
