Our streets, for example, are one of our primary public spaces. How might they be more accessible for youths? Not by banning their use for recreation; but, by encouraging their use as a statement that streets can be shared spaces.

A nodal pattern, while valid, does not necessarily need to replace the main street. I don’t see, and this could be me, how it reflects shopping patterns of today any better. Hone down the length of Main Street. Develop 4 corners or linear. Two blocks is the sweet spot for towns/neighborhood retail.
