Absolutely! I'll probably still refrain from using any NaNoWriMo related hashtags (and anything with the 2.0) since they *do* have a foot in it and are using the same name...but I'm definitely doing my own writing challenge next month!

Ahhh! Interesting! I didn’t even know this one was a thing. It looks like they’re both called NaNoWriMo2 and NaNoWriMo 2.0 interchangeably 😳 But the “official” one is run by the same folks who ran the original NaNo.

That said, though, I plan on still writing a novel and doing the challenge for myself in November—unattached to any organization or group. I’ve been doing it for the last, geez, like 16 years…I don’t need an official thing to set goals for myself for the month 🤘🏻

Watched BE MY CAT: A FILM FOR ANNE for the first time today. Definitely one to check out if you like found footage films. There were some really unsettling parts and the concept of the film was terrifying.

My WIP is a dark coming-of-age story centered around grief and guilt and learning to cope with them. It takes place in a fictional town in Oregon's Willamette National Forest and focuses on my MMC Peter. He's a troubled 17-year-old struggling with school and homelife, among other things 👀
