Wow! Letter from Epstein to a convicted sex offender Larry Nassar right before Epstein’s death.

This was in the files the DOJ released last night and then removed from their site.

Ok, 16 innocent people brutally killed in Bondi Beach attack – response is wall-to-wall global news coverage & condemnation.

Meanwhile, 400+ innocent people brutally killed by Israel *since* Oct “ceasefire” – response is near-total silence from world’s media.

Has anyone ripped those stupid letters off the wall, yet? They've been up there far too long already.

Many idiots in the Royal Variety audience yesterday evening decided that the one politician they would boo during the Dead Ringers segment was Keir Starmer. He's a long way from perfect, but booing him when your other choices could've been Johnson or Trump is bizarre at best.

Another example is the remake of Spoorloos. The original film is one of the most disturbing things I've ever seen. Horrific, but it follows through on its concept. I've read the plot synopsis of the remake (The Vanishing), and apparently they chicken out and give it a happy ending. Yawn.

A really disappointing example of a film ending badly is the remake of Speak No Evil. The original Dutch/Danish production had a properly terrifying ending, making it a great horror. The remake pulls its punches, resulting, ultimately, in a really disappointing film.

Just finished watching Die Hard for the first time in years. Loved it. But I was struck by the completely unnecessary jump-scare when the bad guy who had been hanged turned out not only to be alive, but able to fire his gun at the crowd. The film should've finished without that nonsense.

I'm sharing this here, as I have on Facebook and Instagram, but there's no account on here to share from, and I just think this is wonderful.

A really good balance of design and implementation, and appears to achieve everything it set out to do, and it *SO* appeals to my inner 'work nerd'.

In his response to the Reiners' deaths, Trump proved again how disgusting a man he truly is.

He suffers from cuntitis. He has irritable cunt syndrome. He shows signs of malignant cunticism. He clearly has gastrocunteritis. He probably has cuntiovascular disease. Plus early-onset decuntia.

Chump's response to the killing of Rob Reiner is as truly awful as anything he's said in his years as POTUS. In case anyone was in any doubt, yes he is an enormous cunt.

This is moronic. The EU needs to stand firm with the 2035 deadline.

I've been rewatching Blackadder, and I'm feeling much more optimistic about the state of the world.

I've also blocked the word "trump" from my Bluesky feed, which may be helping.

TIL about a memorial ceremony in Iceland in 2019 to mark the end of a glacier, changing the place name from Okjökull to Ok (jökull = glacier). Uncompromising wording on the bronze plaque:
"This is to acknowledge that we know what is happening and what needs to be done. Only you know if we did it".

Went to see Hans Zimmer for the third time last night, and we intend to go again. Just sublime from beginning to end! The amount of talent on stage is beyond description so I won't try. Massive recommendation to film music fans, and fans of music in general.
