Honestly, the best way to make an artist’s day is by being very specific about what you like about a piece. Geek out a lil. Gush over how they use line, color, texture. Every mark is layed down by the artist, so if you can connect with those little moments, it helps the artist feel seen.

I hear a distant rattle on a chill wind. A chime dangles on a porch with peeling paint. A plastic witch leans on a moldering door. A cackle carries across the plain.
