Sorry for the curve ball; sometimes I'm just silly.

I wasn't being serious. Just riffing on his promiscuity, and the effects of syphilis on the brain.

They're hooked on the money. Standing up would mean cuts, so they'd rather cower and stay comfy.

You know it. I doubt if he could even find it on a map now.

I love this style of retro graphics. As a kid, I was fascinated by these kinds of maps (and their promises of adventure), but as an adult, I appreciate them on a whole level for their artistry.

🪬🧿 Castles Scotland

#scotland #castles #scottish #travel #maps #history #art #alttext
A stylized map of Scotland, adorned with illustrations of castles, ships, and figures. "Castles Scotland" is written in large, decorative font at the top left corner. The map itself is a light blue-green color, representing the land, surrounded by a darker blue ocean. Various castles are drawn at their approximate locations across the map, with labels indicating their names. For example, "Eilean Donan" is a castle on a small island connected to the mainland by a bridge. Icons of sailing ships are scattered around the ocean. Small figures, possibly representing historical characters or guards, are placed near some of the castles, adding a whimsical touch to the map.

One day you’re young and reckless. The next, you’re looking forward to soup season.

I don't think it's high on Poilievre's list right now ... He's just too busy—too focused on issues directly relating to serving the people of Battle River-Crowfoot to think about anything else.

Today is a day when arts degrees are worthless, but the product of those degrees is so valuable it would kill an entire industry if they were made to pay for it.

Skipping jail will make it easier for Poilievre to bring them doughnuts.

I wonder if Kelce will finally talk about the time (as shown in this photo) that he administered the Heimlich Maneuver.

🏈 l Travis Kelce talks about Taylor Swift on the newest The New Heights’ episode, while also praising The Life of A Showgirl —

I’m just the lucky man that gets to be the support system for Taylor while she drops one of the coolest albums that I’ve ever listened to.”

Kidnappers In Kilts would be a good name for a band.

Debut album title options:

1) Flooded With Trouble
2) The Woods Had Gone Wild
3) Unfinished Dam

No one in Canada will ever love you again — they know they’re living right above the madhouse.

I feel like this photo of masked, armed men pepper spraying a pastor protecting his community is going to be a defining picture of this moment in America for a long, long time.

I'm talking about large producers who can offer volume discount pricing. There will always be boutique producers, but that market is different.
dougogg.bsky.social
Lots here in BC. But the US seems to have the market on importing and roasting large volumes. A good deal at one point, but now because of Trump's spat with Brazil, Canada is stuck subsidizing his spite tariffs. Time to bypass the US, and stop being the victim of Trump's tantrums.
dougogg.bsky.social
Indeed. There's just a lot things that were never tested in the past, and now (thanks to Trump), certain structural flaws are coming to the surface. The trend is not good.

Once again, it's animals paying the price for the actions of humans.

I think there's also lots going on that the public is not hearing about. These kinds of negotiations are sensitive, especially if they might provoke Trump. And, unlike Trump, Carney is not an egomaniac who needs to promote every "win", whether real or imagined.

One nation is being led by an economist/crisis mgr, and the other by someone who couldn't keep a casino in the black. BUT, developing alternatives after decades of intertwining the two economies will take time. I hope people will show patience.

I'm learning a lot about the US lately.* For instance, I always assumed the national guard was under the authority of each state's governor, and the president couldn't just call up one state's troops and send them elsewhere. Apparently not.
* None of it good or reassuring.

But unlike Ukraine, Canada is much more geographically isolated. Hopefully our dues in NATO are on auto withdrawal, because now is not the time to miss renewing our membership due to an administrative oversight. 😉
