Studying Exodus 15:1-21 for preaching this weekend. A really cool thing in the Hebrew manuscript tradition (this one a 16th century Torah scroll):

When working on my dissertation, I liked to check manuscript images to make sure I had done my due diligence. Glad this one is now available:

Glad for the chance to present (virtually) today at the 2024 Origins conference in the Creation Theology Society sessions.
(The short version: The Greek Genesis translator's approach is complicated and sometimes surprising!)

Thrilled to be able to share some in-person interviews recorded last week! If you love Biblical Hebrew research, linguistics, pedagogy, and second language acquisition insights, check these out in a few weeks!

It's always worth the time to look at paratextual elements in manuscripts to see if something is highlighted or pointed out (in this case the layout). Check out Esther 9:7–9 in Megillat Esther (where it gets an entire page!) and in Codex L at www.sefaria.org/Esther.9.8?l...:

Interesting results. I set out to make monthly videos, but so far have been able to put out a weekly 5–15 minute video or a longer interview, as well as remixing some of the content for shorts. Trying to gather a little data for some longer-term ideas. www.youtube.com/channel/UC01...

Had a great time chatting with Sawyer of Lingua Deo Gloria (linguadeogloria.com ) about studying the biblical languages and especially how to approach learning and teaching. 34-minute episode releasing later this month, God willing!

Breakfast and an excellent treasure trove of a thesis to chew on. If we will listen, learn, and practice what I'm reading, we could see a very positive change in attitudes and long-term enjoyment, usage, and retention of the biblical languages.

Completed video #1, scheduled to release about 2.5 hours from now. Aiming to post at least 1 per month as time permits & we'll see where this goes. I want to join others in the effort to encourage & equip people to study the biblical languages.

I also want to point people to other helpful (esp. free) resources, and am including those in the playlist section. This is a community effort!
