I started with cardstock and currently mainly use EVA foam and 3D printed parts.
I’m a sucker for scale accuracy, so all Covenant suits I’ve made have been to lore-accurate size.
I’ve also dabbled in some acting and VA for friends
Why do you create art?
Instead of waiting for inspiration to find you, begin. Drawing will kickstart your motivation, get you practicing at a bare minimum, and lead to looser ideas you can iterate on later. It's a start; that's what matters.
Day jobs eat up energy. There's always a wrestling match between insufficient time and a lack of motivation. When you do have time, you're exhausted from thinking about how you should be drawing instead of scrolling.
Sound familiar? Let's talk about it:
held by friction and gravity
and the tension of the ones below.
Do they envy you? Borne
aloft in their central cavity
where the Earth does not bestow
any gift
but birdshit.
Fall, slip, descend,
collapse together
and make amends:
there is joy in mud,
when among friends.
