Hope so. Last decade shows how far 'acceptable' ideas have shifted. The crazy stuff gets crazier, and gets discussed as another political story. Trump etc. rely the fact that sobre progressives don't like sounding hysterical. You can't be permanently outraged, despite it being entirely justified.

Sure, but does that mean rolling over on unhinged behaviour? Vance, Stephen Miller, etc. are the future of the GOP. When someone tells you who they are (US national strategic document), you should really believe them. And fwiw, it seems naive to assume mid-terms will be free and fair.

He holds strong cards, but not all. UK/EU owns majority of US debt, a sell off of which would tank the dollar. That is clearly an extreme action, but the narrative that EU countries must be the sensible adults and not 'escalate' things is absurd given just how battshit crazy US actions are.

Fwiw, where are past Presidents on this. Do they not have some duty of care towards the office? It is now one yuuuge protection racket. Maybe the biggest you have ever seen, actually.

It's like dealing the relative who started doing meth. Sadly, the family hasn't got round to an intervention yet. Maybe cause the meth addict loves his semi automatic.

And yet, this point in time in the most evolved the human species has even been. Remarkable.

Way too many words. Solution must only be a 3-5 word slogan max.

So much free speech. Maybe the most anyone has ever seen.

And even if it did, are we thinking that a short term stock market sugar rush is a good thing?

Shame they don't have 'I don't love' buttons.

It is amazing that this article treats this grotesque grift as perfectly normal, even making the very deliberate choice of calling the guy who floated this insanity “genius”.

Literally anyone holding the office of US president could / should have made a ceasefire happen (onviously long before now). I struggle with praising the arsonist's cheerleader for dousing the fire.
