I’m on Vestry and am in discernment. I was thankfully unable to attend when the vestry vote to move me forward in the process was held. #awkward

I hit 50 next year. Who knows what future me has in store? I didn't used to enjoy Hank Williams or Frank Sinatra either, but I've made that leap!

I don't love Martha My Dear, but I don't hate it. It doesn't have the seasonal ubiquity of Wonderful Christmastime. Other Granny Songs I quite like! "When I’m 64" and "Ob la di Ob la da" are two of my faves from the Beatles :)

Today was Consecration Sunday. We had a local Presbyterian pastor deliver the sermon on giving, turned in our estimated giving budgets for 2026, then dined on smoked brisket. The one Sunday a year we discuss giving and it was pretty good. Our rector will deliver the same talk to the presby church ⚓️
