I work for customers who are predominantly older men and see this all the time. They keep repeating the same stupid jokes or stories over and over, in front of anyone they can find, thinking everyone will find them funny or brilliant but they don't know how insulting they are. It's really sad.

I know they think that prices are supposed to be their "message". But when they combine prices with talk about Greenland, it makes Greenland just another issue. It's not. It's evidence that Trump is absolutely batshit insane. Greenland is a whole other level of terrible, don't treat it otherwise.

It's the same with employer-provided healthcare. If they deny your claim, you can't just go to a different provider. At best, you have to quit your job and go work somewhere else, hoping their insurance is different.

Not what I'm hearing at my library. I got an ARC at the ALA event in Philly and have been passing it around to several people on staff. The only "negative" review came from someone who said "Don't read, it's scary as fuck. Unless you like scary books, then it's great."
