You're not wrong. I just don't think abstaining is working. The far-right won big by being organized, unified, and ultimately getting folks to the polls.

I don't think they should move more rightward, I want exactly the opposite. However, I think they will continue moving rightward because too many folks on the left stay home (and then complain about being ignored).

And by sitting out the election they're signaling that Democrats should move rightward, 'cause it's easier to get voters to switch than to convince abstainers to actually get to the polls. Hence, the rise in fascism and the enormous mess we'll have to clean up over the next few decades.

It's wild that we are OK with allowing farms to tell regulators they can't record information about workplace conditions. But folks just keep voting for this (or choose not to vote at all, same thing).
