Our new mini-comic is out - “Bad Day”. The main character is a girl named Oksi. She's going through one of those days that keep crashing over her again and again after some deeply traumatic events.
These are just practice pieces by the artist ( @vivilisi.bsky.social ) who draws my comics, but they look really cool!

Here are fresh sketches for the new mini-comic. I thought I’d finish the script over the weekend, but I somehow decided to let the weekend be a weekend 😀

Everything will definitely be ready next week, with only the final touches left. After that, we can move on to the artwork.

@vivilisi.bsky.social mixed up the days and prepared her work today, thinking that today was Sunday. Lucky her! Tomorrow she gets another Sunday! 😀

I recently read the French comic "Ténébreuse". The artwork is just excellent. The plot is fairly simple, but coherent. The central theme is “a damsel in distress”. The story is somewhat saved by its own interpretation of the trope and some rather interesting characters, but aside from that…

I really like the axiomatic approach in Aristotle’s reasoning. He writes about something, then adds the phrase “if so, then,” and continues. And that’s it. There’s nothing to argue about. We either agree with his axiom or we don’t. Arguing with the conclusions is pointless,

I love you, Wednesday...

@vivilisi.bsky.social is doing something I don’t quite understand again - some kind of special color-handling magic :)

I don’t remember which author wrote about how he writes scripts for comics: “I sit down in the morning and write. At the end of the workday I look: if it turned out well, I keep it; if it turned out bad, I delete it.”

A new batch of practice pieces from @vivilisi.bsky.social - the one who draws the comics based on my scripts.

And here’s an extra NSFW bonus. Give it 5 likes and we’ll consider posting things like this more often :)

Concept art of an elven girl's clothing for the new comic. I’d been wanting to set aside some time for her, and I finally managed to!

Work on this comic has picked up a bit lately. I’ll try to share updates once a week (and sketches when possible, though I’m not sure) about the progress.

It seems I’ve solved the most important issue with the new comic - I’ve found the right fonts 😀

Finding suitable fonts is pure pain… I needed to pick 2 different ones. I went through almost a thousand fonts on Adobe Fonts and found just 3(!) that were more or less acceptable.

Aristotle interpreted politics quite broadly. To put it a bit crudely, in modern terms Aristotle’s concept of politics can be equated with any form of social interaction. Aristotle wrote something along the lines of: only a hermit does not engage in politics.

What would we do without Wednesdays?

I was about to write: “How cool it is to work with a talented artist”. But… it’s not talent. It’s hard work and it doesn't always come easy.

For me, socials is primarily a work tool. This is where I talk about our comics, share news and post my thoughts. So I keep an eye on basic metrics like follower count or views, but for a long time I couldn’t understand how I was supposed to influence them, considering the specifics of each platform

Continuing to share @vivilisi.bsky.social study works. Just a reminder: we make comics together - she does all the drawing, and I come up with the stories.

I remember my first impressions of Gwen’s world in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. I caught myself thinking, “Wow, this looks fresh and unusual!” And then I saw the cover of the Spider-Gwen comic…

@vivilisi.bsky.social says that this exercise really made her rack her brains to draw these “simple” spheres.

When reading Aristotle’s works, I keep in mind that he was a free, relatively wealthy, and influential man. I haven’t read his biography, but the mere fact that he was Alexander the Great’s tutor already says a lot.

Listening to music. Some unfamiliar track starts playing. I think, wow! Sounds awesome! What is this track and where is it from? Turns out it’s a soundtrack from Dishonored 2. I was just planning to finish up Control and play through both parts of Dishonored.

🎉 My Steam account has officially come of age! 🥳

I remember it like it was yesterday: I registered on Steam when I bought The Orange Box - 3 games in one bundle and… strange program Steam 😅 Though after that, the account just sat unused for almost 5 years.
