I continue to maintain that the problem is that Republicans have control of the narrative, can say whatever they want about Democrats, and people will believe them.
the democratic party’s basic problem is it has almost no control over how its message reaches the ears of voters, especially outside of presidential election years. but rather than devote serious time, attention and cash to that problem its consultants and pundits want to fight factional battles

Toned is your acrobat. Think Spider-Man (Tom Holland has been my example for this)
Jacked is your “bodybuilder” type. Think Chris Evans or Chris Hemsworth.
Built is the in-between. Think David Corenswet.

I had a friend who would do that and say he was actually helping them by keeping them necessary.

I get it, I want to be pugnacious. I wanna fight them. I want *someone* to attack. It feels *good* to let off all that steam on someone. But all attacking does is make them shrink back into their shell. I’m gonna try being curious instead. “Why do you think that?” I think that’ll have some traction.
