The world is over-armed and peace is under-funded (Ban Ki-Moon)
Embarrassing, from the nomination to the handling of the prize, to the ceremony itself, he could not wait to put the medal on. Utterly pathetic!

Lot of folk saying UK proponents of an EU Customs Union are at least showing positive intent. I'd argue the precise opposite, that they are perpetuating the long-standing issue of UK demands on trade that seem like cakeism to the EU.

I did a quantitative analysis of the article:

- times the EU is criticised: 15
- times the EU is praised: 0

- times the U.K. is criticised: 0
- times the U.K. is praised: 3

Yes repeating the same mantra, arguments and mistakes

Even the most pro-EU voices and politicians fail to appreciate what the EU is. If this is not entering the discussion now. the arguments will be always skewed towards the mere benefits UK is seeking and won’t represent the whole picture, hence in 10 years time we might have another Brexit 2.0!

But it’s not what the EU is…

Is more than this.

Can you please make a list of positive benefits about the EU which go beyond trade and immigration?

Thanks 🙏

Using this sole argument against Brexit is wrong as the same issues of dissatisfaction and distrust will come up if the UK joins the bloc.
I have not heard anyone talking favourably except about trade and not having asylum seekers about the EU! This is fundamentally wrong and misleading as the EU

acknowledge that UK didn’t apply in full the solidarity principles and cooperative values which are part of the EU. And this won’t happen anymore if UK joins the EU as full commitments to rights and obligations are required.

In fact, UK used the EU only for its personal gains.

I think admitting also that UK didn’t participate in the reallocation of asylum seekers which arrived on the Mediterranean shores is a step forward in the discussion. It seems now the EU was a very convenient dumping site for the British government. If anything needs to move forward the govt has to

I see, I am not a fan of Indian curries instead. Can’t eat them at all. Too spicy for me. And smelly…I survived on Tandoori chicken when in India and Sri Lanka.

It must be the coconut milk which is omnipresent in Thai and Cambodian cuisine. The addition of cashews make it thicker though.

My mum is the one continuing the tradition

Tell that to my granny and mum who still persists every summer to make her jar of sun-dried tomatoes with patience and dedication. Fried stuffed sun-dried tomatoes are a main staple in our family winter cuisine. Sicilian tomatoes 🍅 of course with Sicilian sea-salt dried on a bamboo raised bed!

I can send you the picture of the panang paste recipe from the cooking book I have. Oh my god, the taste of it! So delicious! We all made three different recipes, including a stir-fry and a soup. Then spring rolls and mango sticky rice.
