I am now home from #Cubecon2025, having taken the morning to do one last draft, but this time: Mystery Booster 2!! And not only that, this little golgari pile of grind and value got me to my only 3-0 of the weekend! Truly felt like as the con went on I just got better and better at magic.

#Cubecon2025 Final draft of the main event, drafting A Brooding Saga, a cube all about Sagas! Really cool environment. I ended up on Azorius again, this time with a token sub theme and a lot of recursion. Deck did the thing, but ended 1-1-1 due to grindy games.

#Cubecon2025 Final draft of the main event, drafting A Brooding Saga, a cube all about Sagas! Really cool environment. I ended up on Azorius again, this time with a token sub theme and a lot of recursion. Deck did the thing, but ended 1-1-1 due to grindy games.

#Cubecon2025 Main event draft 3: The Alternate History Powered Cube! I went 2-1 with Azorious control/super friends, only losing to the person who went 3-0 with the full lotus, breach, freeze combo.
Still not sure I made the right choice between sol ring or recall P3P1.

#Cubecon2025 Main event draft 3: The Alternate History Powered Cube! I went 2-1 with Azorious control/super friends, only losing to the person who went 3-0 with the full lotus, breach, freeze combo.

Whoops I forgot to do Main Event draft 2 yesterday: Regular Games, Commander Cards! Weird cube that uses a bunch of nuts cards. I first picked Hullbreacher over Gut, True-Soul Zealot and I think that was a huge mistake, as my 1-2 record attests!

#Cubecon2025 Main event draft 1 was The Data Generated Vintage Cube! I wasn't feeling good about being 4 color midrange with no power after the draft but I went to the finals and only lost to a nuts academy deck with crypt, workshop and recall. And we still had some really really great games!

Did the pin-nacle side draft last night at #Cubecon2025, drafting the Alpha Reimagined cube and while I only went 1-2, I cast a *lot* of necropotence, hypnotic specter, and dark ritual, so who's to say who was really the winner?

Prequel draft did not go ideally! 0-3 in Vistas Unventured, playing bant game objects without a ton of removal and zero wraths meant I got run over basically 6 games in a row by red decks. Still had a lot of fun and made them work for it every single game!

For the final fortune draft, I was lucky to be in a great pod, drafting the Bodleian Cube! I was exhausted and went to my comfort place, drafting temur lands + beat down, and while I went 1-2 and didn't make top 64, all of my matches were incredibly close and I'm extremely happy with the outcome.

Okay, continuing my #CubeCon report! Main Draft 3 was the Game Objects Cube, and I was blessed to have 2 academy manufacturers. Made a pretty big mistake in the final round and eked out the draw instead of the win because of it, going 2-0-1.

Unfortunate 1-2 in the 555-JANK cube, but I got to first pick Tolarian Academy and I got to lose to Luis Salvatto, so it was still a great time! #CubeCon

Second draft of #CubeCon! There may be 100 ornithopters in the cube, but I only drafted 8 of them. My control strategy still led me to a 2-0-1!
