Mind you, trump is continuing the practice of the US profiting from conflict. After WW1 and WW2 the US benefitted greatly from its sale of goods and arms to its allies. Europe was bankrupt. The UK's last loan repayment was in 2006.

trump is not "reluctant" to put pressure on putin, he has never put pressure on him, only on Ukraine.
It is a safe bet he will continue to back the Kremlin in its invasion, and to think otherwise is madness.
