AI exposing your API surface as public? Try “writing it yourself”

Easy!
Public vs Internal APls: Al may expose more methods as public than needed—be deliberate
about API surface.

I choose my OSS Window managers based on their default preference of using "Natural Scrolling" for trackpads, which is why I like GNOME (Defaults to on, good, correct) and not KDE (Off by default, bad, wrong, nope)

I love "No Stream Tuesday." It gives me (and all of us) a chance to relax as well. It also helps everyone appreciate when the stream is on; you can't have too much of a good thing.

stream schedule this week - i can't wait to play Unfair Flips by @hthrflwrs.bsky.social, which was inspired by Coin Stream!

And for the other stream, it's Dealer Tom's choice - mister walkers delights are on the menu, whatever fickle form they take on the day!

In its current form, what happened looked like a shadowban, even if unintentional. To a user looking at the site, to a dev looking at the request. You wouldn’t know it for sure unless told by someone who did it.

There’s also no explanation from the AppView side that this took place either. It’s filtered from the timeline and the thread view showing it as “not found” is the same functionality as “deleted”.

That stuff can be fixed, the people _running_ it though… they’ll post through it i guess
omnicr.one
all moderation from bsky do not delete posts from your pds (unless it is a full ban). they only remove posts from the bsky "side" (the appview) which means when you move your data away from here OR people are using another client the offending posts are readable
drasticactions.dev
(Not yelling at you, just not happy about this situation, lol)

If that's the case, that's a _really_ shitty way to handle this IMO. github.com/bluesky-soci...

It wouldn't be hard to be explicit and make a record for it to be clear why it's not there, rather than have it go "threadViewNotFound" which shows as deleted in this AppView.

The original post is back, but to be clear, the API was not returning it.

So, this is either a "bug" (which would be one hell of a coincidence, and ya'll better explain why and how this happened).

Or, it was shadowbanned and got caught.

Come on, lol. so fucked.

The actual post is still available in the repo. Normally, when a post is deleted, it's removed outright with no way to get it back. pdsls.dev/at://did:plc...

It doesn't appear in the timeline feed or the post thread API. They may be actively blocking it in the most stupid way possible, lol.

I’ve tried using the new Xbox experience on my GPD Win4 and it’s “okay.” It’s better than it was before but Linux/Steam OS feels so much better and has better standby support to boot.

But I also remembered I can sideload Media Center.

Also, interestingly, Copilot used "Whitelist" and "Blacklist" as terms rather than "Allow" and "Deny." It's not the biggest deal, and considering the model it's trained on will use those terms far more often, it makes sense why, but it's interesting nonetheless.

Pull Request Overview This pull request inverts the conditional compilation logic for the UseMauiHandler flag in the NavigationPage class. The change switches from explicitly enabling the flag for Windows, Android, and Tizen platforms to explicitly disabling it only for
iOS and MacCatalyst platforms.
Key changes:
• Inverted the platform-specific conditional compilation directive
• Changed from whitelist approach (enabling for specific platforms) to blacklist approach (disabling for specific platforms)

They should have an asterisk next to the "community" tag for me, IMO.

Thank you Apple Music! I had no idea Tim Armstrong had a new solo album! This required a push notification too!

Yeah, I get the "LOL it did so bad!!!" here, but they also cut off the other part of Humans getting 71.3%.

It's about being able to extract context from a natural language response, and humans screw that up, too. I wouldn't trust this with my sheets, but as a technical exercise, it's not bad.
Microsoft says its Agent Mode in Excel has an accuracy rate of 57.2 percent in SpreadsheetBench, a benchmark for evaluating an AI model's ability to edit real world spreadsheets. This result places Agent Mode above Shortcut.ai, ChatGPT agent with xIsx support, and Claude Files Opus 4.1. It's still behind the human accuracy of 71.3 percent,
though.

On the one hand, this makes a lot of sense to do. But also, saying that this will help “deliver our vision of Windows as an Agentic OS.” is yet another reason I never want to use Windows again.

This is the same "company" that reuploads public domain radio shows pulled from Internet Archive and generic sound effects. It's not just the slop content being garbage and no effort, the dude was doing it _before_ LLMs existed. They literally wrote over the dudes old website.
drasticactions.dev
Remember that AI Slop Factory from a few weeks back? They put out a blog post, and it's unhinged.

Granted, considering everything else on their "network", I'm confident it's also LLM-generated and they probably didn't read it, lol.

Interesting, so all I have to do is not get caught...

The SEC's suit alleges that between 2020 and 2022, Mehr and Lopez, "made material misrepresentations" to hundreds of investors about the bankrupt retailers they had acquired. For example, to entice individuals to invest in their acquisitions, they said their portfolio companies were "on fire" and that "cash flow is strong." They also told prospective backers that money raised for a company would only be invested in that specific firm.
