Amazon’s doing some possibly illegal BS lately where they put items from other sites on A as if they A was selling them, but are acting as a go-between instead. I.e. A places order for you, but it looks like you’re buying from A. Lots of small biz are getting hit that DON’T want to be on A.

For the seats thing, different sizes, yes, but also pre-reserved seating for EVERYONE, like a lot of newer movie theaters do. You pick your seat at the same time you buy your ticket.

That’s just it: I *don’t* think it’s most common form of gay. I think it’s most *acceptable* form of gay, so is showcased a lot more. THAT is what my prob is. I have no prob w/ femme ppl. I would never tell one that they need to change. I have prob w/ gen public perception & acceptance.

I know precisely 6 ppl on that list. And yeah, part of that is on me, but being known *inside the comm* is not the same as being known as queer by the general pop. I also notice that it’s all men, not indication of butch women or enbies, who very much shouldn’t be cut out of the conversation

…there was a hard 180 back to “queer = feminine”. Some of it was reclamation, true, but it just reinforced the “fags are femme” stereotype in the general populace. It is *hard* finding out masc queers (non-male, too) because the expectation is you have to be fab & flaming.

Part of my problem is that it honestly feels like a regression of sorts. For *so fucking long*, the popular stereotype of gay men was a swishy, campy, false-woman faggot as something to be mocked. In the 70s/80s, masculinity started to be acceptable in the comm, but then in 90s-2000s…

We have no way of knowing. But it sure as hell isn’t 0.

I would say that that argument is a self-fulfilling prophecy situation, though. How many non-femme queers just never come out b/c they think that they have to be femme to be gay? How many queer celebrities *maybe* allude to it but never officially come out b/c being non-masc is bad for their career?
