It's bizarre watching Trump and Vance belittle Zelenskyy in a room full of people with cameras and microphones. It's like a schoolyard fight where everyone circles around and allows it to happen. Will we ever have our Road House moment when the town bully is defeated by the town? I hope we do.

I can't recommend Yacht Rock: A Documentary I watched with @hillarylevi.com enough. Only critique; there's so many earworms that will battle it out in your brain for supremacy after watching it.

I'm an atheist, but grew up Christian (many such cases). At the time, I saw God as a guide through ethical and emotional quandaries. For others, God seems to be a cheerleader. Want something? God is on your side. Pray for that touchdown. For sure don't introspect. God wouldn't want that.

I recently rewatched A Trip to the Moon by Georges Méliès followed by Alien. One imagines space as a fantasy, the other an unknowing terror. It showed how the concept of space rapidly changed in a relatively short amount of time, and I wonder what fantasies of today will become horrors of tomorrow.
