Less need, yes, but MID still has value.

I'm thrilled to finally have regular expressions in Excel, but overall, there will be very, very few users who ever write a REGEX___ function. The MID function is more accessible, which makes simplifying its args even more important.

They're [rightly] resistant to modifying old functions, but in this case, it would be a non-breaking change.

I'm a little optimistic since they recent made an even bigger change to MID (and its friends) while introducing Compatibility Version.

There are now at least 3 youth basketball coaches (who fill time during the day as UMass faculty) who are excited to adopt this policy.

I stopped watching on my TV and started watching on my phone so I could use the 10-second skip button. I used it aggressively! That's the only way I made it through season 2.
