Well, someone had to do it. Here's a starter pack for Graph Databases.

I put a few accounts to get it rolling, but please chime in with suggestions to build a better curated list.

Like how the poppy 1950's music glosses over the racism and patriarchal social structure of the time?

(But dagnumit, I can't get enough of Buddy Holly)
not that the present economic picture is rosy, but i do think that popular culture — and specifically nostalgia bait television — is a big part of the reason that our public memory of the 1970s, 1980s and even 1990s seems to miss the real economic pain that marked each of those decades.

Playing around some more with Eurostat's flight data: observablehq.com/@eurostat-ws...

Some interesting discoveries when calculating the difference between 'passengers carried' and 'seats available'. We can visualize 'empty seats' and '% of seats that are empty'.

Same, but it's that people understand marginal tax rates.

(If one's "tax rate" is 35%, that doesn't mean every dollar is taxed at 35%!)

Two great points about e-canvas texture:

1. If writing on a laptop, it's like writing on glass. You can do it, but you don't want to do it for long.

2. Some e-ink devices get close, but are not quite there:
"It's like the uncanny valley, but for writers."

I see the argument for -- but don't agree with -- putting Miami into the #CFBPlayoff over Notre Dame. But putting in Alabama is daft af.

Hard disagree. The official BLS jobs numbers are still the most reliable data we have, and it's not close. And there's no way the Administration has (yet) fiddled with its data. I promise to let you know at the first whiff of interference.
The only reliable data we are going to get on this stuff now comes from the private sector. bsky.app/profile/atru...
🚨 CNBC on latest jobs numbers: "A big miss on ADP payrolls. The private payroll company saying private payrolls shed 32,000 workers in Nov. That's the 4th negative number in past 6 months. The estimate was for +40,000, so the street was off ... this may be coming from being hammered by the tariffs"

The #StrangerThings Effect.

Despite the spike, Netflix fared a lot better than it has for previous high profile moments of demand.

Do I respond with...
- no? (lower case)
- 2?
- No? (upper case)

Respondents are inconsistent enough on their own. Don't introduce MORE variability.

We are facing a crisis of disconnection and this is directly linked to polarization.

New research finds that people living in communities with denser social networks consistently reported less partisan animosity and a greater sense of national unity.
