I write, therefore I am ... human
Terrific programme, very enjoyable and erudite discussion, thanks for your contribution. Need to listen again, though, as the conversations were so complex and thought provoking.
To my surprise I was asked to be a witness on The Moral Maze, talking about AI and misinformation, at the Hay Festival. It was quite surreal and quite fun.

Thanks for this reminder. The film has to be essential viewing to see what's happening to fellow human beings right in front of our eyes.
On Thurs 12th June at 10.15pm RTE intend to show Louis Theroux's documentary The Settlers, unless it is pulled before then. For those who can still record, do that. For anyone streaming, it will be available on the RTE Player. We will share a reminder closer to the date also.

So disgraceful that the hungry years from the 20s to the 60s also saw national projects on housing, from Dublin Corporations's Marino Garden Suburbs to BnM's villages, Kilcormac, Coill Dubh etc; from Oliver Bond to Countess Markievicz House. Market-led housing policy leads to homelessness.

Stands to reason, doesn't it? Interesting to note that the role models that the 'Natural Order' folks adopted didn't include Bonobos (for example) in their justification/rationale for patriarchy.
Fascinating - how encounters with feminist conscious raising groups & reading feminist texts changed primatology, showing how male bias worked in developing now outmoded evolutionary ideas like ‘man the hunter’ and ‘the military model of primate behaviour’! www.abc.net.au/listen/progr...

For decades, primatologists believed that primate societies were structured around aggressive alpha males - until a remarkable push from feminist scientists in the 1960s and 70s changed the narrative....
