This is where we’re at with widespread, ‘legitimised’ misinformation/distortion of truth/propaganda 👇🏻

Dunno man, seems a little misleading to write an article about Trump describing activity in Portland and Chicago as “insurrection” with a 33 year old photo of a burning donut shop taken in the 1992 LA Riots (sans caption explaining that) as the header on all your posts about it.

If you'd asked me which celebrity would posthumously unveil a list of people she wanted fired into the sun, I would not have guessed Jane Goodall

Dr. Jane Goodall filmed an interview with Netflix in March 2025 that she understood would only be released after her death.

There’s no place in Eurovision for military aggressors, countries run by dictators, or those perpetrating genocidal actions.

I realise individual citizens or singers are not responsible for the actions of their governments or military. But Eurovision, for me, is about unity, acceptance, and joy.

Great example of the illusory truths which pervade our media channels. It seems plausible and lots of people are saying it, ergo, it *must* be true. Even when it is completely false, the damage done by blind and malevolent sharing means distrust and suspicious are fuelled and the facts obscured.

I spoke to a few people, including journalists, at Labour conference who had seen and believed claims on X that Multiverse – Tony Blair's son's company – had been chosen to run the government’s new digital ID scheme

@fullfact.org have checked this claim and it is untrue

It’s blooming obvious to all of those who actually think about factory farming, intensive agriculture, and the incredible levels of medication required to keep disease at bay when animals are kept in confined, overcrowded spaces.

Let’s start by being honest about where most your food comes from…

What I’d like to see is a comparison between the contribution of the average Reform voter/supporter vs the contributions of the immigrants with indefinite leave to remain whom they seek to vanquish and remove.

Our society, what tattered remains would be left of it under Reform, would crumble.
chrischirp.bsky.social
Just fuck off with this. How about start the conversation by highlighting how much immigrants contribute to the UK - not least by propping up the NHS and social care system!

Also - forced volunteering is not volunteering, it's unpaid labour.

As we invariably, and slavishly do!

Oh so typical of a certain cohort yes!!

I just can’t see how the US can heal from the way they are, and the way their values are heading. Sensible people appear completely powerless to contain the ugliness. And I’m sure they abhor it as much as we do!

Absolutely. It’s just not cricket.

If you have to resort to distracting your opponent, you were never really in the game.

Abuse has no place in any sort of sporting arena and, the more we allow it, the more normalised it becomes.

It is not ok to denigrate your opponent. It’s literally not sport.

There are indeed religious, including sharia courts in the U.K. They deal with family law and marital disputes. They are not legally binding, and unless you are Muslim, much like a mosque, you’ll likely never see inside one unless you make that choice.

More weaponised fear.

Richard Tice, "We've already got 80 sharia courts in the UK"

Billy Bragg, "There are also Jewish courts as well, thats part of their religion. We as a tolerant nation accept that"

I wish I appreciated more when we have people in public office with dignity and respect.

I wish I didn’t have to include inoculation against wilful mistruths in my classes. Especially not regarding people in the highest offices in the world: it’s extraordinarily repugnant to have to do so.

We have people in power making broad claims around certain drugs and autism that have been continuously disproven.

The degree to which those comments can undermine public health—is violence against the truth.

- Barack Obama
drcaroljasper.bsky.social
Tylenol, nor paracetemol, cause autism. Despite anything RFK Jr or Trump say. There’s quite simply no evidence. And yes, it has been investigated. And no. Not all studies are equal, nor can assumptions be drawn from cherry picking the sources which suit the narrative.

You’re welcome.
drcaroljasper.bsky.social
But politically expedient unfortunately.
jtrebach.bsky.social
In order to suddenly claim Tylenol leads to autism, we would need better data.……data we do not currently have.

Declaring that tylenol use in pregnant people can lead to autism, with the available evidence we have now, is scientifically irresponsible.
