Friday night I discovered a toilet was leaking and causing damage to kitchen ceiling.
Has it been leaking for months or days? How extensive is the damage?How much will it cost to fix?

Today my almost 82-year-old dad helped me put up a new light fixture in my back garage.
My mom has prohibited him from using ladders*, so we used step stools. (I’m not gonna tell her that we both used the step stools though.)
Working alongside him was so special. Sacred even. 🥹❤️

I didn’t count on the leaky washing machine and the water that went into the floor cracks and came out the smoke detector below.
And I didn’t know that the water would trigger the smoke detector to alarm and make all the connected ones through the house also alarm.
