The totalitarianism of these modern movements is such a universal feature. As is a lack of critical thinking and self awareness. It's toddlerism. They're not politically "left" at all either, as that would require them to respect other people's rights and needs.

Basically what has happened here is that people on the far left decamped from X after Musk took over and Trump won. On Bluesky, they sought to craft a utopia. But that required some aggressive policing to keep the population pure, in their minds. 1/2

I can understand why a minority of delusional people may adopt a gender identity, a false belief that leads them to reject reality, but I find it harder to understand why ostensibly informed and educated people make fools of themselves by sharing such nonsense.
