I always carry a small notebook in my bag just in case I need to write down whatever's floating around in my head. Most of my books also have their own dedicated composition notebooks to write out chapters, notes, etc. Honestly, I prefer writing it out longhand first when I can.

TBH, it's not so terrible. My other partner has so many movies downloaded in cloud storage that I usually don't have to worry. I just like the security of ya know, if I want to watch an old fave it's in a DVD case.

To be honest this is the third book in a series so it helps if you have prior knowledge of the series. It's on the form.

Oh, these poor sweet beans.

My partner was like "why are you hoarding all these DVDs we don't even have a dvd player anymore" and I foolishly listened to him and got rid of my whole collection of go-to movies 😭

About 105,000 words, give or take. We're really looking for beta readers who are familiar with the other books in the series (just wanted to mention it, for the record!) cause it's the third book in a series and it makes more sense having that extra context.

The form for beta readers is in this thread, though it's advised that you be familiar with the other books in the Mountain Fell series or it won't make much sense.

Mostly fantasy; to be honest this is the third book in a series so it helps if you have prior knowledge of the series. It's on the form.

This was a tough year for reading for me, but the River Has Roots knocked my socks off and How to Summon a Fairy Godmother was honestly just a ton of fun.

Iron Widow is probably in my top twenty books of all time at this point. What a great book! I still need to read Heavenly Tyrant though!

Anyway, you might also be wondering—I thought you mentioned beta readers and arc readers!

Yes indeed!

My co-writer RJ and I have a sign up form right now for both! There's also a giveaway for a 8x10 print of our beautiful cover that the ridiculously talented @authorallegra.bsky.social made! 4/?

Books one and two, A Bond of Thread and A Peddler of Chains, are already out! You can find them on Amazon, Kindle Unlimited, and Audible! You should absolutely read them, and not just because they're fantastic and the second book might just feature an extended cameo from a character I wrote! 3/?

But Dash, you might be saying, wtf is all this?! What do you mean it's the third in a series?!

So, I'm a part of a co-op called Project AO—which is a bunch of different authors working on a bunch of stories in a multiverse. This book, A House of Wings, is the third in the Mountain Fell series. 2/?

Here's the thing though, as a bisexual with lots of thoughts on pop divas: you are 100% correct. 🤣
