i think we, as a fandom, need to brace ourselves for the inevitable news that Square-Enix is using genAI in FFXIV. i can't speak to how the creative team itself feels about the subject, but i know that company leadership at SE is famously bad about chasing trends. the bad news is coming, y'all

yeah I will unsub if genAI is used in xiv. create an entirely new free trial RP & gposing account for my characters. would become a free to play account for nikki too. it sucks imagining this outcome bc I like these games a lot, but human art deserves my human dollars, & robot junk deserves nothing!

I like that Vandar haunts the narrative, not because she's dead, because she's So Alive it pulls everything and everyone to her, you fall in her orbit, she's supermassive black hole. Academia scorning a nerd so hard she goes megavillain mode is a tale as old as time, but now it's her turn

augh I'm too busy this week for 7.4 + out of town next week + every time I log on as any character for even a minute it's str8 to the glam mines and nothing else. at least the monday after xmas I have a bunch of my friend fc signed up for heavyweight w/ me 🫶 we're going to simp for elezen 🫴 together
