In evidence law, spoliation is an alteration or destruction of documents and things admitted as evidence in a case. One remedy for spoliation is to allow the jury to make an inference that the missing evidence was unfavorable to the party that altered or destroyed it. Quoad hoc Epstein files.

In re: eliminating federal vaccine mandates, 18 USC 1112: involuntary manslaughter is an unintentional killing occurring (1) while committing an unlawful act not amounting to a felony; or, (2) while committing a lawful act in an unlawful manner, without due care, or with disregard for human life.

If the Executive attacking a sovereign nation—which poses no real and imminent threat to our borders—without a formal declaration of war by Congress under the powers vested in it by Article I, Section 8 of the US Constitution, is not an impeachable offense, I’m not sure what is.

Important point: this ISN'T about willpower. It is about our food environment. 👇

Without policy action and a coordinated global response, ultra-processed foods will continue to rise in human diets, harming health, economies. It’s time to act.

He may not want you to hear it, but this is the original audio, sourced directly from the Reagan Library.

Don’t let him erase history — like he already did when he tore down part of the White House.

Business as usual from the centrist Democratic Party is no longer acceptable. We need an activist party who will not stand by and condemn by press conference and bumper sticker press releases. We need bold action. America is demanding it! Dems, please, put on your gloves and fight. #NoKings

Folks, this just makes me SO angry. If it does you too, VOTE! There’s no guarantee that our right to vote won’t be usurped by this authoritarian regime, but it’s the best chance we have to keep this from being the new normal. Please, for the love of our fragile democracy, don’t sit this one out.
Sadly, we no longer live in a functioning democracy.

#NoKings was an amazing show of resistance to tyranny and in favor of democracy but it will all be for naught if we don’t get out and VOTE!!!

@educationlaw.bsky.social Any comment on the recent EO relating to the PSLF program as to whether changing the eligibility criteria may put those who recently received forgiveness in jeopardy of losing it? Can there be any retroactive action by the “current” DOE to rescind a grant of forgiveness?

Another quick gratitude post: a simple gift of wine and cookies from a patient reminds me of how powerful the doctor-patient relationship can be. We often take for granted the profound impact our words and actions can have on patients in their moments of vulnerability.
