look man, I don't really have time to pull down my LGBT history books and debunk this bullshit point-by-point (because unlike a lot of these anarchist weirdos On Here who like to lie about our history, I actually have a job), but let me just say that this thread is 100% untrue, revisionist bullshit.

everyone suggesting this thing is gonna be an Xbox killer should probably rethink their hot takes because these specs put it a bit closer to a Series S than it does a PS5 or Series X. this is a baseline *entry level* piece of hardware for what's supposed to be a console.

one of my favorite pieces of dumb trivia about Liberace is that in the only movie he ever starred in, Doris Day repeatedly turned down the leading role opposite him because it was written as a romance, and she thought it would be a terrible role because *nobody would believe he was straight*.

jfc, there's a whoooole lot of awfulness to unpack here. you occasionally catch a drive-by skeet like this On Here that makes you immediately take a few seconds to block this person because if THIS is their take on Sarah McBride, then you know right away they have nothing useful to contribute, ever.

ngl, it strikes me as genuinely insane to expect voters to take over this level of micromanagement of how the sausage is made in Congress. Not only does it sound like a REALLY bad idea for Senate Majority/Minority Leader to be a popularity contest, but nobody other than Very Online sickos even care!

ugh, she's one of the worst accounts On Here, but yeah, she's definitely correct. I'm assuming at this point that this is 100% true. I commented several times over the last week that folks were VERY likely to start folding on both sides of the aisles while flights were being intentionally grounded.

absolutely batshit insane take, jfc. *wanting* holiday travel "chaos" is literally saying you want people to die on planes for a shutdown because that's actually what happens in that situation. this is all a fuckin game to some people, man. these are human lives we're talking about here.

they used to print floral patterns on sacks of grain & feed because that's the material that women back in the early 20th century used to make their dresses; employers would often let workers take the sacks home because it was the only thing cheap enough to sew. google 'flour sack dresses'!

Definitely yes. Here's the actual recipe! I've never made this one exactly, but this is *very* similar to an old fashioned custard pie that I make at Xmas, and it's delicious.

the lyricist Julia Ward Howe was def metal af lolol.
November 6, 2025 at 10:29 PM
... you cannot convince me this person is not high af right now. "BUT WHAT IF IT DID?" is *not* a valid counterargument! it's a playground taunt!

labor unions are BY DEFINITION not neutral parties to any discussion of labor in any context, why the fuck would they *ever* agree to give up "full editorial control" over anything they publish about their work & their members?? just find new publishers instead of foisting this on unions!
November 6, 2025 at 9:58 PM
oh man, they are gonna go AAAAAALL IN on a red scare after Mamdani's win, aren't they?? we're all gonna be so sick of the word "socialism" by the end of the year.

like, this is simply not normal corporate behavior in ANY organization, anywhere. this man's brain is broken.

spoiler alert: the median US voter is still dumb as spit. I think that these numbers are (mostly) going to come around as the midterms get closer over the next year, but maaaaan, I have *very* little patience left for these fence-sitters still contemplating their support. this isn't hard, y'all.

HAHAhahahahaha ... omfg. Trump is totally cucked in real time by Xi over his lies that he ended the conflict in Cambodia.

Finally playing Far Cry 6 after buying a used copy at GameStop for just $5 almost two years ago and then letting it sit and collect dust on my gaming shelf. Kinda mad at myself for not trying this sooner. For the life of me, I cannot figure out why players review bombed this game. It goes HARD.

okay, I appreciate the point that is being made here, but this list is also ... mostly bullshit? all but like three and a half items on this particular list enjoyed fairly overwhelming public support when they were passed / fixed.
October 24, 2025 at 10:26 AM
these are some really quick markups I sent to a former coworker over chat yesterday, and it's VERY difficult to draw any conclusions about what all was happening here without actually knowing plans, but yes, I see some very big hints that they actually fucked up what was *supposed* to be a partial.

Why do the most vile white supremacists always look like they crawled out of the shallow end of the gene pool??

yeah, I get why we're this angry & want some kind of remedy for it, but "annulling the president's pardons" is treading into batshit crazy land. not only is there simply NO POSSIBLE WAY to do that, but that's also a precedent *we don't want to set*. we really don't want Dems to say this!

I mean, as difficult as this is to imagine for some, there is *usually* an explanation for neurological symptoms other than "spiritual attacks." ngl, an adult child publicly talking like this about a sick parent where I live will pretty much always earn them a visit from Adult Protective Services.
