An American in the Netherlands and I plan to keep it that way
It's the same discussion around "welfare". Much rather give extra resources to someone who doesn't need it than not give extra resources to someone who does.

We didn’t have kids at the time but I completely see the similarity. It simultaneously forces you to come to terms with the hopelessness of their disease and yet also disengage from it because it becomes an exhausting never ending to do list that doesn’t allow time or space for really processing it.

For me, it was one of those things you know is hard but you don’t KNOW it’s hard until you’re in it. I had it in a different way with my mom’s ALS and while I lived with her I didn’t carry the burden my step-dad did. She wouldn’t let me. Regardless, it fundamentally changed me.

Conference schedule will likely be a lot tougher. Annoying thing is I booked a room in Atlanta back in September. So close to cashing it in.

On one hand I’ve enjoyed this season more than any other…ever? Johnny Football was fun but we were never in contention to play in a championship. On the other hand…next year could easily be back to 8-4. Gotta seize these moments because they might only come once every 20 years.

You may have lost the game but you won the war. They still had to go back home to Port Neches (I say that as someone born in Beaumont and spent a lot of time at a grandma's house who lived there)

There should be quotation marks around that. Not my words…pulled from the link.
