In times of crisis, I wish I could offer more than the illusion of safety. Being powerless to make the material conditions of those around me better has been a constant pain point and source of shame and self-deprecation for the vast majority of my life.

Talking to an old friend recently and mid-conversation it dawned on me that I've tried therapy twice, and in both cases had the deep insecurities I shared be openly laughed at to my face by the therapist.
I know I should still try to go back to therapy, but... it's hard to find the right one.

I think I'm genuinely scared for the first time about the times we're about to be living through.
Usually the belief that the evil will be thwarted by its own stupidity keeps my anxiety leveled out but...

New app idea: It's an online marketplace like Facebook Marketplace or think Craigslist - and it will be called "CrispHighFive", and it will have a unique mechanism for verifying its members and filtering out scammers and scam accounts.
