Exactly. Just panel changes and interior upgrades, since the size, power, etc. Are standardized and capped. Considering the low margins on small cars in Europe, I wonder if this could open up options (think Ypsilon in Italy) or if the costs don’t add up?

Exactly. So many shapes and styles to choose from! I’ve never understood why no western brand has ever tried the same approach.

I would be just as happy as the Canbus itself if I drove one. Kei vans are the ultimate city cars and nobody can convince me otherwise.

I use a hand grinder for some semblance of consistency in my grind without the horrific scream of a cheap electric one. My morning head can’t take that noise. But I’m a V60 user, so I don’t need espresso-grade fine grind.

I used to do it yearly in my BMW, but in my current car I use CarPlay (or just the phone) instead. OEMs charge too damn much for it now that it’s “free” on a phone, but they also charge too much for connected systems! It’s honestly pretty amazing how good offline satnav is though.

That you call it an emergency brake instead of a parking brake says so much already! I always use it on my car here in NL, would never think to not use it.

I lived in Torino for a year in 1998 and I couldn’t believe the transformation when I visited post Olympics. It was always a walkable city due to the arcades along the boulevards, but the open piazzas are stunning. It used to be crammed full of cars on every corner of every street.

Technically still part of The Netherlands, just its own country now! Curious to hear more about it.
