She knows their base is dumb enough to believe it. She knows the main ingredient that makes up a MAGA Rep. is that they don't actually care about facts or bother to seek them out. Anything that isn't from a far right source is just liberal media bias. They have even turned on Faux News.

I think it is meaning what is perceived by MAGA as what makes a masculine man. Conservatives as a whole think liberal minded men aren't masculine. We're either fat & living in our parents' basement or effeminate little sissies. This is taking that bias and using it against them.

Ads are inherently bad. They are necessary to keep any good platform going. It costs money for moderation and good features. They just need to make sure they only allow certain ads, and they need to make sure they aren't as invasive and overwhelming as on X and FB.

The article mentions looking into some options for a subscription service. I don't think most of us would mind some ads either. We are used to them from all the other social media outlets. If they do that, I hope they limit the kind of ads that are allowed.
