I gotta try that. At least the "converting" mechanic. Could also use this with a transparent non-rendering oxygen that is consumed by fire so it doesn't backtrack.

Have you played Noita? It has a really robust version of this effect.

"Chain reaction" made me think you could also have gasses that multiply each other or generate a third gas if present in the same tile.

Playing with doors that auto-open when you're next to them. (And if the room is filled with poison gas, it will leak out through the door!)

Multiple gasses interacting with different diffusion parameters. Poison spreads out quickly and lasts longer, fire burns out fast, and smoke doesn't spread much.

Well, I know for a fact marketers are working themselves into a lather about how much more openAI knows about customers and how much they'd pay for that quality targeting. TBD if it nets out.

they will be free, but ad monetized in various ways. it's the same play as last generation -- undercut existing better-monetized experiences, attract an audience, ratchet up monetization and decrease quality over time.

There's even a live world editor. You can swap into "Geometer" and edit world states at any time. This is SUCH a boon for testing. You can point-and-click create world situations you want to test and debug quickly.

The world editor also works for crafting prefabs. No hand-coding coordinates.

are you thinking this is made visible to the player? or a dynamic that you might intuit because enemies seem to sense you around corners?

makes me curious also about scent management... could you mask your scent and sneak through an area with smelling enemies?
