Tip for next time - as well as the bowls of hot water, a hair dryer can help speed it up and you can target particularly large bits of ice too (oh and obv keep the hair dryer away from the water 😬) I found this really helped last time.

I overdid the tidying and reorganising yesterday too. I don’t know about you, but when I’ve done more than usual around the house, I find it hard to dial it back down to sensible levels of exertion. Being able to get things done is hard to let go of again

Yeah, I might do that. Last time when he was there because he was limping and she couldn’t properly examine him, she suggested gabapentin if he had to return. Poppy (tortie in my profile header) used to get that and it helped with the exam. Do you find it helps for getting them in the carrier too?
