Trans girls should be allowed in Guides groups. Local groups are calling for this decision to be reversed. This ban will affect a tiny number of trans girls, who will be mentally benefiting from groups like these AT NO COST TO ANYONE ELSE.

Today, i'm off for an 'in-person' day in my new job. I used to commute and work in London every day, but I haven't recovered my agoraphobia since Covid. I've worked remotely for the last 4 years and been too unwell to get to my office. London, new people, and autism. What could possibly go wrong!?

It amazes me when people who are anti-psych meds put so much faith in therapy, as if that is a more exact treatment method. After years in therapy, where I have gained some stuff, i've recently become quite disillusioned by it. 1/3

Imagine coming down to this monster, waiting for his prey, ready to pounce, first thing. Terrifying.

Scrapping luxury cars from motability just drives more anger towards those claiming motability. They're fixing a problem that only exists because they made it one. These cars make up 5% of motorbility cars. The government pays no extra for them.

Well, this made my day/month/year. Sophie, a super talented 12 year old autistic artist re-designed my book cover for a school project. I have to say, I think it looks better than the original, she's nailed it!

My stalker continues to stalk in my absence. I have to say, this has been the most hurtful thing said so far: "Mind you, it's prob typical for someone who let's a cat sleep on her head all night". Scout is not impressed.

You can leave X, and people will still be chatting shit about you. Some people really can't stand not being able to get a reaction from you.

The fear mongering of this article, and the mental illness shaming in the comments is seriously pissing me off. People saying the kids must have been so scared (they had no idea) and they could have been deranged child killers...

What if you tried experiencing having one first?
I think this is what is meant by the term ‘blind privilege’.

This is sort of a myth, but I don't think it's untrue, however I think there are certain traits that make it seem this way.

1. Black and white thinking leading to 'right' or 'wrong'.

2. Experiencing a lot of injustice in life.

3. Not always understanding intentions
not all autistic humans have an "innate sense of justice"

just another trope

The autism book i'm reading now, the author says how much she lost not being diagnosed earlier, how much easier school would have been, how much less bullied she'd have been. But i'm not sure. I completely agree earlier diagnosis is essential...

The best part of being here instead of the other place is not having to spend all day discussing and arguing about antidepressants. It seems only one narrative was allowed on there.
