Hey, I'm Indhira. I'm Black, Queer, and slowly waiting for the fall of capitalism as we know it. I recently graduated with a PhD in social work, studying religious trauma in the Black Church among Black Millennials and Zoomers. I'm culturally Black Bapti-costal but not working or attending church.

Just read the Brown University agreement and this really jumped out.
"The University will not perform gender reassignment surgery or prescribe puberty blockers or hormones to any minor child for the purpose of aligning the child's appearance with an identity that differs from his or her sex."

I lost some wonderful colleagues today due to a self imposed budget crisis at my university. As the names pour in, most of the folks are folks of color or queer folks. I’m disgusted. I’m enraged. I’m so sick of the polite racism that exists in perceived ‘sanctuary cities’. Just feeling heavy today.

Why did I get an email at 3:30 about grades I just put in? Like I haven’t put them in the banner system and I was going to sleep and then reach for final review. GOD GIVE ME FREEDOM 😩😩😩

Woke up to a need for an emergency session after a night of hyper focusing on trying to integrate all the moving parts in my life into a system. The post-depression slump really will have you walking around like Nene Leakes in your own mind

After seeing 3 things that pissed me off before my first meeting at 10, I'm choosing to be silly today as I prepare to travel tomorrow. I have decided to use the fist bump emoji in my department's team chats. I hate using the thumbs up emoji for consensus, and I need more whimsy.
