This study found that the evidence base for most type 2 #Diabetes mellitus monitoring tests is weak or absent.

Clinicians should avoid non-evidence-based tests unless there are additional clinical indications for testing doi.org/10.3399/BJGP... @drjessicawatson.bsky.social @capcbristol.bsky.social

What a day & what a team! Yesterday we planted 500 trees at Avon Needs Trees (ANT) in the glorious (& sunny) countryside south of Bristol. ☀️🌳💪🎉

Many thanks to: ANT for hosting us, staff volunteers & the skylarks for keeping us going with their energetic song!

More about ANT: avonneedstrees.org.uk
CAPC team lined up in a field next to the trees they've just planted. Newly planted trees in field. The CAPC team being briefed on the planting plan by Avon Needs Trees member. Hard at work - planting the trees!

Patients mostly accept online test result access but want to know ‘what happens next’.

Reliance on the NHS App for test communication is insufficient. Patient-centred communication methods are important for patient safety & clarity in delivering test results, & GP workload doi.org/10.3399/BJGP...

Anaemia prevalence was higher in people aged >65, Black & Asian ethnicities, & areas of social deprivation.

Tests indicating anaemia weren’t always followed up in #PrimaryCare. Interventions to improve anaemia investigation & treatment are needed, notably in at-risk groups doi.org/10.3399/BJGP...
